Thirteen percent of students experience significant anxiety that limits their engagement in school and in relationships. Anxiety conditions – separation anxiety, social anxiety, phobias and generalized anxiety – are the most prevalent mental health condition, but they often go unnoticed because they are often internalized. The impact on students is significant. Experiencing some anxiety is normal but when it is always present, a student can feel drained and be distracted by it – limiting his or her capacity for participating in school lessons and activities.
During this 90-minute webinar, Mike Paget, M.Ed., will give teachers, counselors, social workers, administrators and other professionals the tools to support and teach this high-potential portion of the student population while avoiding an unmanageable classroom environment.
