As federal, state and local funding for education continues to shrink, more and more educators find themselves struggling to provide even the bare essentials for their students. Private schools are feeling this squeeze as well. In many cases, school personnel are reaching deep into their own pockets to buy resources and basic school supplies.
Perhaps you have some great ideas for special projects, field trips or other experiences that would significantly enhance your students’ learning, but no funding is available at your school.
Billions of dollars in grant funding for education is available each year from government agencies, foundations and corporations – from mini-grants of $500 or less for classroom supplies to larger grants of $10,000 or more for curriculum, equipment and special projects. You do not have to be a “professional” grant writer to go after and be awarded many of these grants. This webinar will help administrators, teachers, counselors and other school staff to apply for and secure awards from many of these grants on their own!
This 90-minute webinar will equip you with the knowledge and skills you will need to identify and secure grants for your classroom, program, &/or school. You will receive vital information on how grants work, where to find them, and how to apply for and win them, and then how to manage your grant(s) once awarded. Topics covered include:
A PDF copy of the PowerPoint presentation will accompany Bill Latta’s presentation, and a comprehensive list of available grants for schools that includes information on the funding offered and how to apply for those funds will be emailed to each registrant prior to the webinar.
Research-based, outcome-based continuing education opportunities from Developmental Resources may qualify for funding under Title 1 Part A Targeted Assistance Program Grants; Title II Part A Improving Teacher Quality Grants; Perkins Professional Technical Education Grants as well as other federal, state and local sources. Requirements vary from state to state. Contact your local administrator.
